The Directorate of Research Universitas Gadjah Mada (UGM) organized a Sharing Session on Enhancing SINTA Data Management on Thursday, 18 December 2025, at Multimedia 1 Room UGM Central Office. The session aimed to provide a discussion forum for enumerators to exchange strategies for improving SINTA performance.

In response to a directive from the Ministry of Education, Culture, Research, and Technology regarding the updating of the Integrated Resource Information System (SINTA) data–which will serve as the basis for higher education clustering in 2026–the Directorate of Research UGM conducted outreach session on SINTA data updating for faculty and school enumerators. Subsequently, enumerators in each unit updated data on publications, research, community service activities, books, and Intellectual Property Rights (IPR), for the 2022-2025 period to ensure data completeness and accuracy.

As a form of appreciation, UGM presented SINTA Data Management Awards 2025 to faculties and schools with the best performance. The Faculty of Psychology, Faculty of Cultural Sciences, Faculty of Engineering, Faculty of Economics and Business, Faculty of Biology, and the Faculty of Mathematics and Natural Sciences are awarded as their representatives also played an important role in the sharing session.

In her remarks, the Secretary of the Directorate of Research, Prof.drg. Diatri Nari Ratih, M.Kes, Ph.D, Sp.KG.(K), expressed appreciation to all enumerators and SINTA administrators  at the faculties and schools for their commitment and collaboration in maintaining the quality of SINTA data. During the session, awards certificates are also presented to the recipients of SINTA Data Management Awards 2025.

The main session featured presentations and sharing of best practices by SINTA administrators and enumerators from the Faculty of Psychology, Faculty of Cultural Sciences, Faculty of Engineering, Faculty of Economics and Business, and the Faculty of Mathematics and Natural Sciences. The speakers shared SINTA management strategies implemented in their work-units, ranging from data consolidation and validation, strengthening cross-unit coordination, to the development of sustainable data management system.

Through Question and Answer Session, participants obtained insights into various approaches to managing and updating SINTA data. The forum also serve as a space for sharing experiences related to technical challenges and practical solutions that can be applied to improve SINTA performance at the work-unit level.

Through the implementation of this sharing session, the Directorate of Research expects the capacity of enumerators and SINTA administrators to continue to improve. Systematic and collaborative data management is expected to further support institutional performance and enhance the quality of research at UGM.
