UGM Journals Attain New Accreditations for Population and Lexicon

The number of nationally accredited journals at UGM has increased. According to the Decree of the Director General of Higher Education, Research, and Technology of the Ministry of Education, Culture, Research, and Technology Number 152/E/KPT/2023 on the Accreditation Ranking of Scientific Journals for the Second Period of 2023, two UGM journals have recently obtained new accreditations.

The Population Journal, published by the Center for Population and Policy Studies at UGM, has secured a new Sinta 3 accreditation from Volume 29, Issue 2 in 2021 to Volume 34, Issue 1 in 2026. Additionally, the Lexicon Journal, published by the Faculty of Cultural Sciences, has obtained a new Sinta 3 accreditation from Volume 8, Issue 2 in 2021 to Volume 13, Issue 1 in 2026.

As of January 2024, the total number of nationally accredited journals published by UGM stands at 87. This accreditation milestone is anticipated to continually drive the enhancement of the quality of scholarly publications within the UGM community, underscoring UGM's commitment to actively contribute to the advancement of scientific knowledge.
