Kinds of research under Ministry of Research and Higher Education:

  1. Starup Company Candidate based on Technology from Higer Education (Calon Perusahaan Pemula Berbasis Teknologi dari Perguruan Tinggi-CPPBT)

 

The CPPBT program is intended to encourage the development of technological innovation products that  categorized as prototypes and pre-commercial phases (tested) that ready for downstream and commercial use.

Submissions in 2018: December 22nd,2017—January 5th, 2018

requirement:

  1. A group (maximum 3 people) lecturers / researchers / students or a combination of people from public or private universities
  2. The proposed innovation product is an existing innovation product in prototype / draft application program format (if the proposal is submitted from the ICT focus)
  3. The proposed technological innovation has never been provided with other sources of funding for the same product
  4. Grante of previous year’s CPPBT funding should not submit proposals with the same title and scope / stage this year (this funding is valid in a single year)

5.      Technological innovation must have market potential, commercial value, be ready for trial production as a complement and can also be in the process of managing intellectual property, licensing and or other certifications

Output: Products that are ready to be displayed at the Innovators Innovation Indonesia Expo (I3E) exhibition.

 

  1. Industrial Technology Development Program (Program Pengembangan Teknologi Industri-PPTI)

 

The Industrial Technology Development Program is one of the research and development funding instruments to increase the relevance and productivity of R&D to meet the technological needs of the industry. PPTI was created to encourage the results of R&D to be implemented and effective in the production system. The level of technological readiness from the results of R&D, and collaboration between academia, government, and industry are the main keywords of this program. This program is intended for domestic industries that collaborate with domestic research and development institutions (research and development institutes), both research institutes from outside the industry and internal R&D units for the industry itself. This program also aims to encourage the increase in the Domestic Component Level (Tingkat Komponen Dalam Negeri-TKDN) in Indonesia.

 

Submission in 2018:  Batch 1: 20-30 November 20th—30th, 2017 &  Batch 2: March 6th—21st, 2018:

1.      R & D institutions / units partner with industry related to the proposed theme2.      R & D institutions / units are willing to share resources3.      R & D institutions / units have core competencies according to the proposed theme4.      R & D institutions / units have a track record of research activities with the proposed theme

 

Output:1.      Detail design document of the industrial-worthy prototype2.      Document of industrial feasible prototype simulation test results in the laboratory with real conditions3.      Industrial-worthy prototypes that have been tested in real-world environments4.      Document of industrial feasible prototype test results that have been tested in a real environment.

 

  1. Center for Excellence in Higher Education Science and Technology (Pusat Unggulan Ipteks Perguruan Tinggi-PUI-PT)

PUI-PT is a leading research institute in higher education that is ready to transform for support the Science and Technology Park (STP), which will  change to STC (Science and Technology Campus).

Output: PUI-PT which is ready to become a Science and Technology Campus (STC

  1. International Research Collaboration (Penelitian Kerja Sama Luar Negeri-PKLN)

Research cllaboration with foreigner is expected to improve the quality of research and the number of research publications in reputable international scientific journals. The research scheme foreigner is considered strategic to increase the number of scientific publications in reputable international journals as well as to expand research networks with scientists in the same field.

Submission in 2018:

Requirements:

 

  1. The head researcher and one of its members must be permanent lecturers at universities with doctoral academic degrees;
  2. Maximum number of research teams from the Indonesian side is three;
  3. Research proposals must be written in English;
  4. Having MoUs with valid partners abroad, not expired,and have been agreed and signed institutionally (not MoU between individual researchers), or under the umbrella of bilateral cooperation between the Directorate General of Research and Development of the Ministry of Research, Technology and Higher Education and foreign parties;
  5. Research is multi-year, maximum three years
  6. Have a research cooperation agreement letter from the head of the team of foreign partners
  7. Research proposals are jointly prepared by Indonesian researchers and partner researchers;

 

Output:

  1. Publication of one scientific article per year in reputable international journals
  2. Researchers are also expected to produce additional outcomes

 

  1. Competency Based Research (Penelitian Berbasis Kompetensi-PBK)

Competency-Based Research (PBK) is expected to facilitate lecturers to deepen, expand and disseminate the results of the implementation of tridharma. This research is also important in order to make it easier for the government to identify and mapping the competence of lecturers / researchers in Indonesia. The Competency-Based Research Program can be used to help professors and head lecturers who meet the scheme requirements in producing scientific publications according to Permenristekdikti number 20 of 2017.

Submission 2018:

Requirements :

  1. The study duration was 2–3 years and the outcome was evaluated annually;
  2. The lead researcher has a doctoral education with research experience in his field of competence in the last five years;
  3. The head researcher has a research track record which is reflected in the form of journals (national / international), books (national / international), and proceedings indexed by an international reputation database in at least 10 titles
  4. The maximum number of members is two people and one member of the researcher holds a doctorate;

Output:

 

  1. Publication of one scientific article per year in reputable international journals;
  2. One book according to the field of competence;
  3. This research is also expected to produce additional outcomes.

 

  1. National Standard Research (Penelitian Standar Nasional-PSN)

This research can be proposed in two schemes, namely:

  1. Institutional National Strategy Research Program (Program Penelitian Strategis Nasional Institusi-PPSN Institusi). This scheme only involves research resources from one institution / university and partners.
  2. Consortium National Strategic Research Program (Program Penelitian Strategis Nasional Konsorsium-PSN Konsorsium). This scheme involves research resources from three or more institutions and involves partners.

  1. PPSN Institusi:
  2. The proposing team is a permanent lecturer at a university
  3. The maximum number of the Proposal Team is 4 people (one chairman and a maximum of 3 members) preferably multidisciplinary and at least one member must have a doctoral or postgraduate degree as a Head Lector (One member can come from a partner

 

  1. PSN Konsorsium :
  2. The research consortium proposing team consists of three or more universities
  3. The proposing team numbered 5-6 people (one chairman and a maximum of one member in each university)
  4. The main researcher must come from the head of the research consortium
  5. The duration of the study was 2-4 years

 

Output:

  1. Intellectual Property Rights (patents, simple patents, copyrights, trademarks, trade secrets, industrial product designs, geographic indications, plant variety protection, or integrated circuit topographic protection).
  2. The compulsory output of PSN can also be in the form of science and technology-social and cultural processes/products in the form of: methods, blue prints, prototypes, systems, policies or models that are strategic and on a national scale, appropriate technology that can be directly utilized by the community (along with guidelines for its implementation).
  3. This research is also expected to produce additional outcome

 

  1. Art Creation and Presentation Research (Penelitian Penciptaan dan Peyajian Seni-P3S)

Research on Art Creation and Presentation is an effort by DRPM of the Directorate General of Research and Development to respond to the serious needs of art creators and presenters in Indonesia who are in arts colleges and faculties or art study programs.

Submission 2018:

 

Requirement :

  1. The proposer team maximizes four people (one lead researcher and a maximum of three members) is preferably multidisciplinary, in which the chairperson and a minimum of one member must have a doctoral education (S-3) or S-2 Associate Professor;
  2. The leader of the proposing team must have an adequate and relevant track record with the proposed topic, and have performed shows, exhibitions and screenings related to the artworks created;
  3. One member of the research may be a non-academic artist who has a high reputation, such as a senior artist, master or poet whose reputation is recognized.

 

Output:

  1. IPR of art copyright that is displayed, exhibited, or displayed at the local, regional, national and international levels;
  2. Documentation books or analysis / synthesis manuscripts containing copyrighted works of art that are displayed, exhibited and displayed;
  3. This research is also expected to produce additional outcomes

 

 

  1. National Strategic Leading Research (Penelitian Unggulan Strategis Nasional-PUSN)

The research substance carried out a follow-up activity or a final touch for related research that has been or is being carried out (not basic research). Priority studies are food independence, creation and use of new and renewable energy, development of health and drug technology, development of technology and transportation management, information and communication technology, development of defense and security technology, advanced materials, maritime, technology and management of disaster management, social Humanities-Arts-Culture-Education.

 

Submission 2018:

Requirement:

  1. The Head Researcher is a university permanent lecturer who has a NIDN, holds a Doctorate (S3)
  2. The maximum number of practitioners involved as research members is 2 (the involvement of the proposing industry partner will provide added value in the assessment of the proposal)
  3. The research team comes from the proposing unit and partners (private industry / government or government agencies) must be in accordance with the proposed strategic area and the proposing partner must provide research funding support in kind or in cash
  4. The research period according to the road map is 2 to 3 years

 

Output:

  1. IPR that is ready to be disseminated to industry or society
  2. This research is also expected to produce additional outcomes

 

 

  1. Postgraduate Research Team (Penelitian Pasca Sarjana-PTP)

PTP is intended for postgraduate student tutors to improve postgraduate students’ abilities in research and accelerate the completion of their final assignments.

Submission 2018:

Requirrement:

  1. The Head Researcher is a permanent lecturer with a doctorate (S3) and has postgraduate student guidance
  2. The maximum number of team members is 2 people with doctoral degrees (S3)
  3. The graduate students involved are active students
  4. Study period 2-3 years

 

Output:

  1. Doctoral students: publication of one scientific article in an accredited international journal according to the field of competence.
  2. Magister students: publication of one accredited national scientific article according to the field of competence.
  3. This research is also expected to produce additional outcomes.

 

  1. Doctoral Dissertation Research (Penelitian Disertasi Doktor-PDD)

PDD merupakan program dukungan bagi para dosen yang sedang menempuh program doktor (S3). Program ini diharapkan mampu meningkatkan mutu penelitian disertasi doktor serta mempercepat penyelesaian pendidikan doktor di Indonesia.

PDD is a support program for lecturers who are currently pursuing a doctoral program (S3). This program is expected to be able to improve the quality of doctoral dissertation research and accelerate the completion of doctoral education in Indonesia.

Submission 2018:

Requirement :

  1. The proposer is a university lecturer who is currently attending a doctoral program and is registered as an active student at a tertiary institution that has a doctorate program license.
  2. The research proposal was approved by the promoter and co-promoter
  3. The research period is one year
  4. Output-based research funding (output) with a maximum cost of IDR 60,000,000

Output:

  1. Publication of one scientific article in a reputable international journal.
  2. This research is also expected to produce additional outcomes.

 

  1. Research on Masters Education Towards Doctorate for Excellent Undergraduate (Penelitian Pendidikan Magister Menuju Doktor Sarjana Unggul- PMDSU)

The process of completing doctoral education programs by superior bachelor’s graduates can be integrated with synergy and research programs.

 

 

Submission 2018:

Requirrement

  1. The lead researcher is the promoter of PMDSU program students who are still active and have passed Semester 1 lectures, are currently studying in Semester 2 and will start research in the current year;
  2. The lead researcher has an h-index ≥ 2 which is obtained from a reputable international indexing institution and has an excellent research track record; members of the research team are co-promoters, with a clear division of tasks between the research team involved and approved by those concerned, accompanied by proof of signature on each attached biodata;
  3. This output-based research funding has a period of 3 years, with a maximum cost of Rp. 60,000,000 per year;

Output:

 

  1. The mandatory output of this research is the publication of one scientific article in a reputable international journal per year.
  2. This research is also expected to produce additional outcomes.
